Please note: Some aftermarket slides have a precise optic cut based on the curved edge/corner of Vortex Venom, one of the common slide manufacturers is PSA Dagger(with Doctor cut). ADE and other brand red dots do NOT have the same curve as Vortex Venom, therefore ADE RD3-006, 009, 012, 013 do NOT fit the aftermarket slide with CURVED vortex venom optic cut. ADE red dots with Doctor footprints only fit squared optic cuts that accept standard Doctor Footprints.

When you first receive the ADE red dot. It might have a picatinny mounting plate pre-assembled(might be packaged separately in the retail package, depending on the ADE model). Please use the allen wrench provided to take out the 2 hex screws on the top behind the glass frame. It will disconnect the red dot from the picatinny mounting plate. You will then be able to attach the red dot to a variety of handgun mounting plates that are sold separately.
Below are the differences between each RD3 Series (compact/handgun size) red dots. We recommend RD3-006/RD3-009 for any 9mm compact pistol (budget cost with over 1000+ 5star reviews), RD3-012/RD3-013 for bigger caliber firearms such as Canik TP9 SFX, Glock 19 and Sig P320. (Slightly higher cost with loaded features with great reviews), and bigger window design RD3-015(also RD3-011) for bigger full-size pistols. Some user prefer larger window, for that reason RD3-015 is a great choice. Please consider search youtube videos to see RD3-015 in action. Users can also put any RD3 series red dot on a rifle or shotgun as a backup sight in addition to iron sights or as a main sight.

The longer length of this red dot does not sit in the pre-cut. It only fits the mounting plate that is made to REPLACE the rear sight and set on the top of the slide(not in the pre-cut). It fits the Doctor/Vortex Venom footprint/Doctor footprint/screw pattern.

RD3-011 Avenger (5 MOA RED Dot). The overall length is about 30% longer than other traditional handgun red dots, the window is 100% bigger than traditional micro red dots. Therefore, it does NOT fit an optics ready pistol that has a cut. Unlike other Ade RD3 models that have doctor footprint, RD3-011 has the same screw pattern/footprint as trijicon rmr. This sight does not fit (sit inside the grove/cut) the slide that is custom milled for trijicon rmr because it is longer than rmr in size. It only fits mounting plates that replace the rear sight, or the plate set above the slide for trijicon rmr footprint/screw pattern. Top battery loading, no need to remove the red dot from the firearm when changing the battery.

RD3-028 Ares (3.5 MOA) Red Dot. Released July 2022. Motion Awake, Side battery loading, removeable weather shield. All metal construction. Fits Doctor footprint. The overall length is longer than traditional red dot, therefore it only fits on the optic plate that sits ABOVE the slide(typically the plates replacing the rear sight).
